Sunday October 31 the last grapes were harvested from Harvest 2010 in the Rioja, which the Technical Services Control Board gave the ending a vintage as a whole very high quality and, as usual, has been extended for two months, since starting in the town of Aldeanueva de Ebro on 1 September.

* 5,850 kilos of maximum yield per hectare covered by the DO, one of the lowest yields among all the wine regions of the world.

The report issued by the Technical Services Regulatory Board, the general trend of the vineyard at harvest 2010 has been very good at the whole name, as the cycle was conducted without significant impact, both correct climate, as pests and diseases that have affected the production from both quantitatively and qualitatively.

Highlights the excellent health vegetative state and that has kept the vineyard to the end of the cycle due to favorable weather and the fact that, compared to about ten days advance which had the maturity last season, this year can be said that evolution has been normal in dates, within the traditional media. This leads to the conclusion to the excellent quality of fruit harvested, the harvest 2010 will offer wines of extraordinary quality and could become a historical crop Rioja.
